The ZSE market commenced the holiday shortened week in gains as the All-Share Index went up 1.23% to 252.16pts.  The ZSE Top Ten Index edged up 2.59% to close at 263.69pts while, the Mid Cap Index inched up 0.46% to 246.38pts. The ZSE Agriculture Index was stable at 161.59pts. ZSE Holdings headlined the gainers of the day having surged 14.96% to end pegged at $1.1370 as Proplastics jumped 11.93% to $1.0941.

The ZSE market extended gains in trading week-ending session ahead of the Christmas holidays. The mainstream All Share Index edged up 2.11% to 257.47pts while, the Blue Chips Index gained 0.30% to 264.47pts. The Mid Cap Index was 1.12% higher at 249.13pts while, the Agriculture Index remained stable at 161.59pts for the second consecutive session. ZSE Holdings led the winners of the day for the second session in a row after surging 15.00% to $1.3075.

The ZSE market posted gains in first session of the week after Christmas holidays as the primary All Share Index rose 1.07% to 260.23pts while, the Blue-Chip Index firmed up 1.57% to 268.62pts. The Mid Cap Index gained 2.20% to 254.62pts while, the Agriculture Index lost 0.40% to 160.94pts.  Headlining the risers of the day was Zimre Holdings Limited which went up 15% to close at $0.7561, where supply could be found. Proplastics followed on a 14.98% rise that took the plastic manufacturers to $1.4465 as 4,000 shares exchanged hands.

The ZSE market extended gains in the penultimate session of the year to see the All-Share Index adding 5.10% to 273.49pts while, the Blue-Chip Index grew 4.42% to 280.49pts. The Agriculture Index edged up 1.55% to 163.44pts while, the Mid Cap Index notched up 5.40% to 268.38pts.  Zimre Holdings and OK ZIM led the gainers of the day as the duo climbed by an identical 15.00% to end pegged at $0.8695 and $0.1495 respectively.

The ZSE ended the final session of 2025 in the black as the mainstream All-Share Index rose 1.60% to settle at 277.86pts. The Top Ten Index added 0.46% to end at 281.78pts while, the Agriculture Index ticked up 3.82% to close at 169.68pts. Not to be outdone was the Mid-Cap Index which also went up 3.64% to end the session at 278.15pts. Ten risers were registered against five fallers, while one held the ground, to leave the market with a positive breadth of five.

The ZSE recorded gains in the first session of the year as the primary All Share Index rose 1.17% to 281.12pts while, the Blue-Chip Index gained 1.28% to 285.38pts. The Agriculture Index firmed up 1.43% to 172.11opts as the Mid Cap Index went up 0.67% to 280.01pts. Seed producer SeedCo Limited headlined the top performers of the day on a 10.94% jump to $4.0000, followed by telecoms giant Econet that surged 10.67% to $6.7953, where supply could be established.

The ZSE recorded market continued to record gains from prior session as it advanced 2.82% to settle at 289.06pts while, the Blue-Chip Index was 3.43% firmer at 295.16pts. The Agriculture index was stable at 172.11pts as none of its constituents recorded trades in the session while, on the contrary, the Mid-Cap Index was 0.19% weaker at 279.48pts. Leading the gainers of the day was banking group CBZ that inched up 9.28% to close at a VWAP of 12.5667 while, beverages giant Delta edged up 5.84% to $21.9097 on the back of firming demand in the counter.

Gains continued to persist on the ZSE as three of the four indices we review closed in the black. The All-Share Index was 2.71% firmer at 296.88pts while, the Blue-Chip Index was 3.21% up at 304.64pts. The Agriculture Index was 2.99% lower at 166.97pts, mainly weighed down by Dairiboard and Tanganda while, the Mid-Cap Index added 0.09% to close pegged at 279.74pts. Sugar processor Star Africa led the risers of the day as it inched up 13.55% to $0.0285 while, beverages producer Delta continued to buttress prior sessions’ gains as it advanced 11.78% to $24.4909.

The ZSE market breached the 300pts mark on a 4.70% gain to end pegged at 310.83pts while, the Blue-Chip Index was 5.31% firmer at 320.81pts as Delta continued to soar higher. The Mid Cap Index recovered from yesterday’s losses as it inched up 0.60% to end at 281.43pts while, the Agriculture Index rose by 1.44% to close pegged at 169.38pts. Dairy processor Dairibord led the gainers of the day as it charged 14.55% to $1.8500 while, beverages producer Delta was 14.40% firmer at $28.0172.

The ZSE market maintained a positive momentum in Thursday’s session as the primary All Share Index rose 6.30% to 330.42pts while, the Blue-Chip Index firmed up 6.63% to 342.08pts. The Agriculture Index added 5.59% to 178.85pts as the Mid Cap Index gained 3.60% to 291.57pts. Delta highlighted the week opening session as 2.76m shares worth $85.61m exchanged hands in the name. The trade represented 73.31% of the total volume traded and 98.46% of turnover. Star Africa was the other notable volume driver of the day as it claimed 14.39% of the aggregate. Total volume traded declined by 12.95% to see 3.77m shares exchange hands while, turnover dropped 2.38% to $86.95m.
