EFE Securities Year to Year Financial Statements
The ZSE extended gains in Thursday’s session to see the AllShare Index adding 0.79% to 239.09pts while, the Top Ten Index rose 2.26% to 243.07pts. The Agriculture Index edged up 0.80% to 189.96pts while, on the contrary the Mid Cap Index fell 4.76% to 244.36%. Telecoms giant Econet headlined the top performers of the day, having jumped 9.44% to settle at $6.0205 in the wake of a cautionary statement issued by the group.

Banking group NMB highlighted the activity aggregates as circa 2m shares worth $9.09m exchanged hands in the session. The trade represented 74.19% of the total volume traded and 55.97% of turnover. Other notable value drivers of the day were Delta and FBC which claimed 26.19% and 15.11% apiece. Volume of shares traded ballooned 168.98% to 2.70m as turnover soared 224.14% to $16.26m.
The ZSE market inched up 2.34% to settle at 251.39pts mainly anchored by gains in selected heavies. The Blue-Chip Index was 3.25% firmer at 257.46pts as Econet and Delta continued to lead the charge in the Index while, the Agriculture Index added 0.01% to 191.42pts. On the contrary, the Mid Cap Index was 1.32% weaker at 249.27pts as its constituents dominated the top five laggards’ list of the day.
The ZSE market maintained a positive momentum in today’s session as the primary All Share Index jumped 4.46% to 262.60pts while, the Blue-Chip Index rose 5.89% to 272.62pts. On the contrary, the Agriculture Index fell 3.42% to 184.87pts while, the Mid Cap Index eased 1.53% to 245.46pts. Proplastics headlined the top performers of the day on a 14.44% surge to close at $1.0300, followed by telecoms giant Econet that charged 13.40% to reach its year to date high of $8.8627.
The ZSE market recorded marginal gains in midweek session as the mainstream All Share Index rose 0.13% to close at 262.94pts. The ZSE Agriculture Index added 0.84% to 186.42pts while, the Mid Cap Index grew 0.93% to 247.74pts. Contrastingly, the ZSE Top Ten Index retreated 0.05% to close at 272.49pts weighed down by Econet. Banking group NMB charged 10.10% to $5.0000, trailed by TN Cybertech that surged 9.52% to $0.1150.
The ZSE market faltered in the penultimate session of the week as the All-Share Index fell 2.61% to 256.09pts while, the Top Ten Index parred off 2.98% to 264.37pts. The Agriculture Index came off 0.67% to 185.17pts while, the Mid Cap Index shed 0.93% to 245.43pts. Cable manufacturer CAFCA headlined the losers of the day having lost 15.00% to settle at $13.6000, trailed by telecommunication company Econet that succumbed 14.63% to settle at $7.3418.
Losses in heavy cap counter Econet weighed on the ZSE to see the Blue-Chip Index declining 3.17% to 256pts. Resultantly, the ZSE All Share Index shed 2.54% to close at 249.59pts. On the contrary, the Mid Cap Index rose 0.21% to end at 245.94pts while, ZSE Agriculture Index added 0.09% to 185.34pts. Turnall was the top faller of the day as it succumbed 16.67% to $0.1000 while, retailer OKZIM plunged 13.01% to end at $0.1300.
The market commenced the week with modesty gains as the All-Share Index rose 0.28% to close at 250.28pts. Likewise the ZSE Agriculture Index and the Mid cap Index gained 1.34% and 1.63% to end at 187.82pts and 249.96pts respectively. Contrastingly, the ZSE Top Ten Index let go 0.04% to end at 255.89pts, on the back of losses in Econet. Leading the market charge was Proplastics that surged 13.51% to end pegged at $1.0000 as SeedCo Limited trailed on a 11.10% jump to $3.9998.
The ZSE market recorded a 0.13% gain in Tuesday’s trades to 250.16pts, while, the Mid Cap Index was 1.28% firmer at 253.17pts. On the contrary, the Agriculture Index plunged 10.29% to 168.49pts while, the Blue-Chip Index eased 0.03% to settle at 255.81pts, mainly weighed down by losses in Econet and CBZ. First Mutual Holdings and Hippo were the top risers of the day as the duo added an identical 15% to close at $1.9895 and $7.1470 apiece.
The ZSE market faltered in mid-week trades as reflected by all the four indices under our review that closed in the red. The All-Share Index was 0.04% weaker at 250.51pts while, the Blue-Chip Index eased 0.04% to settle at 255.72pts. The Agriculture Index dropped 0.72% to end pegged at 167.27pts while, the Mid Cap Index was 0.08% down at 252.96pts. Telecommunications giant Econet rebounded 0.08% to end pegged at $6.2997.
The ZSE market recorded marginal gains in Friday’s session as the ZSE All Share Index went up 0.50% to 249.10pts while, the ZSE Top Ten Index rose 1.53% to 257.03pts. Contrastingly, the ZSE Agriculture Index shed 2.04% to 161.59pts while, the Mid Cap Index let go 0.13% to 245.25pts. Leading the laggards of the day was SeedCo Limited that dropped 7.68% to $3.6005, followed by BAT that fell 3.23% to $89.9995.
Losses persisted on the ZSE as the All-Share Index dropped 1.06% to 247.86pts while, the Blue-Chip Index was 1.00% weaker at 253.16pts. The Mid Cap Index was 2.89% lower at 245.66pts while, the Agriculture Index closed at 164.96pts following a 1.38% descent. Pipe producer Proplastics led the laggards of the day as it plunged 15.00% to close at lower circuit breaker limit of $0.8500.
