Market ends the month on a positive note… The ZSE market ended the month of August on a positive note as selected heavies anchored the market. The mainstream All Share Index grew 2.34% to close at 477.39pts, while the ZSE Top Ten Index added 2.95% to 480.09pts. ZSE Agriculture Index retreated 0.36% to 344.23pts while, Mid Cap Index went down 0.20% to 496.23pts. Banking group CBZ charged 13.04% to close at $38.9995 while, Proplastics jumped 12.50% to $1.3500. Turnall surged 11.38% to $0.1393 while, Mashonaland Holdings advanced 8.83% to $1.7023. Hippo capped the top five winners of the day on a 4.58% uplift to $11.0000. General Beltings was the major casualty of the day having declined 14.98% to settle at $0.0880, followed by Unifreight that dropped 13.04% to end at $2.00000. Willdale shed 9.09% to $0.0700 as SeedCo Limited trimmed 9.05% to $4.9600. Meikles held the fifth position of the fallers’ table on a 3.07% drop to $2.4232.

ZSE records losses in penultimate session… The ZSE market recorded losses in the penultimate session of the month as the primary All Share Index lost 2.25% to 466.46pts while, the Blue Chip Index fell 3.11% to 466.35pts. Contrastingly, the ZSE Agriculture Index put on 0.77% to 345.46pts while, the Mid Cap Index firmed up 1.49% to 497.21pts. Packaging group Nampak led the laggards of the day on a 13.75% dip to $0.8625 while, banking group CBZ Holdings dropped 13.64% to $34.5000. Ariston slipped 11.25% to close at $0.0533 while, NMB tumbled 4.03% to $5.9500. Sugar processor Hippo completed the worst performers of the day on a 2.16% retreat to $10.5179. Partially mitigating today’s losses was ZHL that jumped 12.77%, followed by Dairibord that charged 11.11% to $5.0000. Brick maker Willdale inched up 5.67% to $0.0770 while, TN Cybertech ticked up 4.71% to $0.3000. ZSE Holdings capped the best performers of the day on a 3.66% uplift to $2.8011.
ZSE slips into the red… The ZSE market slipped into the red in midweek session as the mainstream All Share Index trimmed 0.71% to 477.75pts while, the Blue Chip Index slid 0.40% to 482.47pts. The Agriculture Index retreated 1.22% to 337.98pts while, the Mid Cap Index parred off 2.03% to 487.66pts. TN Cybertech was major casualty of the day having declined 14.97% to close at $0.2776 on 42.55m shares. Following was Zimre Holdings that lost 14.52% to close at $0.7800 as General Beltings shed 14.29% to $0.0900. Mashonaland Holdings eased 7.97% to end pegged at $1.5641 while, agriculture concern Ariston let go 7.22% to $0.0600. ZSE Holdings led the winners of the day on a 14.80% surge to $2.8700 while, Masimba Holdings edged up 13.04% to settle at $2.6000. Brick makers Willdale gained 5.74% to $0.0702 while, milk processor Dairibord added 0.19% to settle at $3.9600. Meikles ticked up 0.14% to close the day at $2.4992. Volume of shares traded ballooned 1,589.63% to 45.61m while, turnover jumped 51.92% to $82.63m. TN Cybertech was the top volume driver of the day having claimed a hefty 93.30% of the aggregate. Anchoring the value aggregate of the day was CBZ (43.36%), Delta (41.04%) and TNCI (14.30%). The Cass Saddle ETF and the Datvest MCS were unchanged at $0.1200 and $0.0800 respectively as a cumulative of 6,008 units exchanged hands. The Tigere REIT tumbled 2.18% to end the day pegged at $1.0949 on 18,285 units.
ZSE extend gains… The ZSE market extended gains as the primary All Share Index added 0.66% to 481.17pts while, the Blue Chip Index rose 0.72% to 484.41pts. The Agriculture Index put on 0.13% to 342.15pts while, the Mid Cap Index ticked up 0.42% to 497.77pts. Life assurer Fidelity led the top performers of the day on a 14.29% jump to $0.9200, followed by TN Cybertech that advanced 6.30% to $0.3265. Proplastics firmed up 3.67% to close at $1.2000 while, financial services group ZB went up 2.71% to $7.0000. Meikles capped the best top five performers of the day on a 2.60% uplift to $2.4958. Trading in the negative territory was Ariston that fell 12.02% to $0.0647 while, Star Africa dropped 6.65% to $0.0400. ZHL came off 3.92% to close at $0.9125 while, RTG slipped 2.09% to $1.5861. ZSE Holdings completed the shakers of the day on a 0.78% retreat to $2.5000.
ZSE commences new week in gains… The market commenced the new week in gains as the mainstream All Share Index inched up 0.65% to 478pts while, ZSE Top Ten Index rose 0.71% to 480.96pts. The Mid Cap Index was 0.39% up at 495.70pts while, ZSE Agriculture Index retreated 0.06% to 341.69pts. Mining house RioZim surged 14.96% to settle at $0.9800 while, Star Africa jumped 9.81% to $0.0429. ART enhanced 9.09% to $0.2400 as cable manufacturer CAFCA recovered 6.16% to $25.0000. Beverages concern Delta improved 1.64% to end the day at $31.4677. Agriculture concern Ariston lost 2.00% to settle at $0.0735, trailed by TNCI that parred off 1.08% to land at $0.3071. Meikles shed 0.96% to end pegged at $2.4325 as tea company Tanganda trimmed 0.22% to $4.4900. Seed manufacturer SeedCo dropped 0.01% to $5.6395. The Morgan and Co MIZ retreated 1.00% to end at $0.1200 on 2,900 units.
CBZ highlights week ending session… Banking group CBZ Holdings highlighted the week ending session as a total of 62,276,714 shares worth circa $2.8b exchanged hands in the name. The trade accounted for 99.92% of the total volume traded and 99.99% of the turnover. Activity aggregates enhanced in the session as volume traded ballooned 66,846.09% to 62.33m shares while, turnover grew by 193,608.91% to $2.58b. Tigere REIT slipped 0.45% to end the day pegged at $1.1000. No trades were recorded in the ETF category.

The ZSE Agriculture Index retreated 0.43% to 339.62pts while, the Mid Cap Index dropped 0.16% to end at 489.29pts. Brick makers Willdale led the winners of the day on a 14.47% charge to $0.0664 while, ZSE holdings put on 10.03% to $2.5196. Marginal losses in midweek trades… The ZSE market recorded marginal losses in mid-week session as the All Share Index lost 0.15% to 478.96pts while, the Blue Chip Index dropped 0.55% to 483.42pts. On the contrary, the Agriculture Index put on 1.27% to 341.10pts while, the Mid Cap Index added 1.60% to 490.07pts. Trading in the negative territory was Zimpapers that shed 10.00% to $0.0720 while, Meikles came off 2.61% to $2.4347. Ariston tumbled 2.23% to settle at $0.0743 while, Delta slipped 1.59% to $31.8565. TN Cybertech completed the top five worst performers of the day on a 1.41% retreat to $0.2974. SeedCo headlined the gainers of the day on a 14.66% jump to $5.6403, followed by Nampak that charged 9.08% to $1.0466. AFDIS shot up 6.40% to close at $16.5000 while, banking group NMB put on 6.07% to close at $5.9500. General Beltings capped the winners of the day on a 4.48% uplift to settle at $0.1050.
ZSE reverses prior session’s gains… The ZSE market reversed prior session’s gains as the All Share Index fell 1.02% to close at 479.69pts while, the Blue Chip Index was 1.11% weaker at 486.07pts. The Mid Cap Index parred off 0.58% to settle at 482.34pts while, the Agriculture Index was 0.83% down at 336.83pts. Headlining the laggards of the day was packaging company Proplastics that parred off 14.55% to $1.1531, trailed by construction group Masimba that succumbed 8.00% to settle at $2.3000. General Beltings was 4.29% weaker at $0.1005 while, bankers CBZ plunged 3.84% to close trading at a VWAP of $39.9221. Cigarette manufacturer BAT was 3.10% down at $184.0000 as it capped the top five worst performers’ list of the day. Trading in the positive category was Ariston that rose by 1.01% to $0.0760 while, bankers TNCI gained 0.38% to close at $0.3016. Seed producer SeedCo Limited was 0.09% up at $4.9194.
ZSE commences new week in gains… The ZSE market commenced the new week in gains as the All Share Index grew 1.89% to 484.61pts while, the ZSE Top Ten Index improved 2.32% to 491.51pts. The ZSE Agriculture Index shed 0.73% to 339.65pts while, the Mid Cap Index eased 0.02% to 485.17pts. Bankers CBZ jumped 11.97% to $41.5143 as ZSE Holdings firmed up 9.05% to $2.2900. AFDIS rallied 3.21% to $15.5071 while, TN Cybertech inched up 1.38% to $0.3005 on scrappy 300 units as Proplastics put on 0.70% to close the day at $1.3494. Losers of the day were milk processor Dairibord that succumbed 7.73% to $3.8577, trailed by agriculture concern Ariston that parred off 1.05% to $0.0752. Beverages concern Delta closed 0.03% lower at $32.3999.

In the contrary, Agriculture Index lost 1.74% to 342.16pts while, the Mid Cap Index eased 0.69% to 485.29pts. Star Africa led the top performers of the day on a 13.96% gain to $0.0370 followed by ZSE that surged 13.51% to $2.1000. CBZ charged 9.04% to close at $37.0751 while, TN Cybertech firmed up 5.77% to $0.2964. Ariston capped the best performers of the day on a 1.33% uplift to end pegged at $0.0760. Trading in the negative territory was milk processor Dairibord that lost 14.68% to $4.1809 while, RTG dropped 3.10% to $1.5984. ZBFH tumbled 0.33% to close at $6.9711 while, beverage giant Delta came off 0.11% to $32.4089.
Heavies weigh the ZSE in Thursday’s trades… Heavy cap counters weighed the ZSE in the penultimate session of the week, as the All Share Index fell by 1.45% to 469.38pts. The Blue Chip Index was 2.20% weaker at 471.90pts mainly weighed down by CBZ and Masimba. On the contrary the Agriculture Index advanced 1.36% to 348.22pts while, the Mid Cap Index was 1.89% higher at 488.64pts. Leading the laggards of the day was banking group CBZ that succumbed 15.00% to end trading at lower circuit breaker level of $34.0000. Packaging company Proplastics was 3.20% weaker ay $1.3400 while, tea producer Tanganda was 0.87% down at $4.5995. Construction group Masimba parred off 0.15% to $2.5000. Partially offsetting the losses was dairy producer Dairibord that is trading under a cautionary as it edged up 14.16% to $4.9000 while, brick producer Willdale advanced 13.77% to $0.0580. ZSE holdings garnered 12.12% to $1.8500 while, banking group TNCI was 12.07% firmer at $0.2803. Hotelier Rainbow Tourism Group rose by 6.42% to $1.6495.
