EFE Securities Year to Year Financial Statements
CBZ and Delta highlighted the penultimate trading session of the month as 6.24m and 2.78m shares worth $44.94m and $36.98m exchanged hands respectively. The duo accounted for a combined 96.72% of the volume aggregate and 98.95% of turnover. Total volumes traded for the day jumped 242.88% to 9.33m shares while, turnover ballooned 719.58% to $82.69m. No trades were recorded on the ETF section while, the Tigere REIT rose 2.29% to end at $1.2000 on 33,374 units.

The ZSE ended the month end session on a positive note to see the mainstream All Share Index adding 0.60% to 197.23pts. The Top 10 Index rose 0.59% to 194.14pts, while the Mid-Cap Index increased 0.65% to 231.64pts. The Agriculture Index shed 0.13% to 231.64pts on the back of losses in Tanganda, SeedCo Limited and TSL. Headlining the gainers list of the day was sugar refiners Star-Africa that surged 53.98% to $0.0400 while, Mashonaland Holdings jumped 7.71% to $1.5778.
ZSE registered gains in the new month as the All-Share Index gained 0.62% to close at 198.46pts while, the Blue-Chip Index edged up 0.02% to 194.17pts. The Agriculture Index rose 1.72% to 162.23pts while, the Mid Cap Index added 2.55% to 237.54pts. Sugar refiner Star Africa headlined the gainers of the day on a 37.50% jump to end pegged at $0.0550 with TSL Limited trailing on a 13.92% surge to $2.5000.
The market faltered in midweek session as the All-Share Index shed 0.15% to close at 198.16pts. The ZSE Top 10 Index eased 0.48% to 193.25pts. The Agriculture Index advanced 1.82% to 165.18pts while, the Mid-Cap firmed up 0.85% to 239.57pts. Leading the idlers of the day was agro-industrial farmer Ariston that dropped 6.67% to end pegged at $0.0400.
Banking group NMB highlighted today’s session as circa 5.03m shares worth $18.61m exchanged hands on the ZSE. The trades accounted for 68.93% of the total volumes exchanged and 82.99% of the value aggregate. The other notable volume driver was Nampak which claimed 13.64% of the volume aggregate. Volumes traded soared 99.78% to 7.30m shares while, turnover surged 90.55% to $22.43m. Datvest MCS was stable at $0.0300 on 2,665 units. The Tigere REIT added 0.15% to $1.3357 as 4,731 units exchanged hands in the session.
The market faltered in weekending session as mid and heavy cap counters weighed on the ZSE. The primary All share Index retreated 0.19% to close the day at 197.09pts while, the ZSE Top Ten Index shed 0.14% to 192.34pts. The Mid Cap Index trimmed 0.33% to 237.76pts while, on the contrary the ZSE Agriculture Index rose 0.04% to 158.71pts.
The ZSE market continued to falter in the session as the AllShare Index fell 0.04% to 196.39pts while, the Agriculture Index retreated 1.03% to 157.16pts. The Mid Cap Index parred off 0.15% to close at 240.80pts. On the contrary, the ZSE top Ten Index added a negligible 0.0069% to end at 190.63pts. Brick manufacturer Willdale led the fallers of the day having lost 25.00% to end pegged at $0.0300.
The ZSE market stretched losses into the new week to see the primary All Share Index falling 0.32% to 196.46pts, while the Top 10 Index dropped 0.89% to 190.62%. The Agriculture Index rose 0.05% to 158.79pts, as the Mid-Cap climbed 1.43% to 241.16pts. Headlining the laggards of the day was banking group CBZ that shed 7.45% to $6.5000, followed by sugar refiner Star-Africa that eased 6.70% to $0.0502. General Beltings lost 4.76% to $0.1000 while, First Mutual Holdings slid 3.74% to $3.8500.
The ZSE market declined for the sixth consecutive session as the All Share slid 0.02% to 196.34pts. The ZSE Top 10 Index shed 0.13% to 190.39pts while, the Agriculture Index retreated 2.23% to 153.66pts. Contrastingly, the Mid-Cap rose 0.29% to 241.51pts. ART headlined the fallers of the day as it succumbed 14.91% to $0.1455. Hippo plummeted 14.74% to $4. 0030. Ariston dropped 12.50% to $0.0350 while, beverages giant Delta slipped 0.21% to settle at $13.1721.
Losses persisted on the ZSE as all the four major indices we review closed in the red. The All-Share Index was 0.21% weaker at 195.94pts while, the Blue-Chip Index was 0.27% lower at 189.88pts. The Mid Cap Index lost a negligible 0.02% to end pegged at 241.45pts while, the Agriculture Index was 0.85% down at 152.35pts on the back of losses in Hippo. Leading the laggards of the day was Star Africa that plunged 15.12% to $0.0426 while, logistics company Unifreight trailed behind on a 14.38% decline to close at $1.3100.
ZSE faltered in the final session of the week as losses in selected heavies dragged down the market. ZSE Holdings which listed on the bourse yesterday, commenced trading today at a listing price of $3.4900 as 11,600 shares exchanged hands. The ZSE All Share Index trimmed 0.02% to close at 195.90pts while, the ZSE Top Ten Index shed 0.08% to end at 189.72pts. On the contrary, the ZSE Agriculture Index rose 0.28% to 152.77pts while, the Mid Cap Index added 0.17% to 241.85pts.
The ZSE downtrend continued into the third week as the mid cap counters weighed on the market. The mainstream AllShare Index fell 0.04% to 195.83pts while, the Mid Cap Index fell 0.19% to 241.40pts. On the contrary, the Blue-Chip Index edged up 0.02% to 189.75pts while, the Agriculture Index rose 0.03% to 152.82pts. ZSE Holdings led the fallers of the day on a 10.77% retreat to end pegged at $2.9995 while, retail company OKZIM lost 2.02% to close at $0.2700.
