ZSE opens week in the black… The market opened the last week of January in the black as the primary all Share Index jumped by a further 6.37% to 457,309.93pts while, the Blue-Chip Index grew 5.90% to 204,417.63pts.
Market closes 7.34% higher on firming demand across the board…
Market opens February in the black… The ZSE capped the first day of the new month in the black as bulls continued to rage in the market.
ZSE closes 2.13% higher in the week ending session…
ZSE register gains in week opening session… The market registered gains in the week opening session as the primary All Share Index gained 3.84% to 594,074.74pts while, the Blue-Chip Index lost 6.24% to 242,330.46pts. The Agriculture Index fell 2.42% to 1,568.63pts while, the Mid Cap Index firmed up 4.76% to 2,045,523.82pts.
ZSE takes a breather… The ZSE took a breather in Tuesday’s session as profit taking took its toll, following a seventeen-day rising streak.
ZSE eked out gains as Government announces plans to introduce a new structured currency … The government yesterday announced plans to introduce a new structured currency in a bid to curb the runaway exchange rates.
ZSE rises further albeit profit taking … The ZSE eked out a 1.74% gain in Thursday’s session, despite profit taking witnessed in selected counters across the board.
ZSE reverses prior session gains to end week in red… The ZSE market reversed prior session gains to end the week in red as the primary All Share Index lost 0.66% to 565,042.99pts while, the Blue-Chip Index inched up 0.67% to 256,423.20pts.
ZSE retreats 1.65% in week opening session… The ZSE retreated 1.65% in week opening session to close pegged at 555,699.35pts as three of the four indices under our review closed in the red.
Heavies weigh on the market… Heavies weighed down the market in Tuesday’s trades as the All Share Index plummeted 1.88% to settle at 550,881.68pts.
