conet propels today’s activity aggregates… Econet propelled today’s activity aggregates as circa 7.07m shares worth $3.53bn exchanged hands in the session. The counter claimed 91.97% of the volume traded and 86.44% of the turnover. Beverages producer Delta was the other notable value contributor in the session as it claimed 10.66% of the total. All the ETFs were active in the session as 30,530 units worth $620,577.00 traded in the session, with four of the five funds registering price movements. Trading on the upside was Old Mutual Top Ten ETF that gained 1.86% to settle at $35.6500. The trio of Morgan & Co Made in Zimbabwe, Morgan & Co Multi Sector ETF and Datvest MCS declined 1.77%, 0.54% and 0.55% to close at $6.7898, $251.5930 and $7.2000 in that order. The Tigere REIT lost a negligible 0.0007% to settle at $238.0082 as 475,438 units traded.

ZSE closes October in gains… The market ended the month of October in gains as the primary All Share Index added 2.16% to 157,083.06pts while, the Blue-Chip Index rose 2.92% to 70,266.63pts. The Agriculture Index put on 3.40% to 557.57pts while, the Mid Cap Index edged up 0.54% to 622,991.45pts.
Heavies lifted the market in a slow penultimate session of the month.
ZSE closes week in the black … The market ended the week in gains as the primary All Share Index rose 0.27% to 149,335.93pts while, the Blue-Chip Index added 0.41% to 65,634.77pts. The Agriculture Index edged up 1.40% to 537.17pts while, the Mid Cap Index lost a negligible 0.005% to 615,239.63pts. Brick manufacturer Willdale Limited headlined the winners of the day on a 15.00% jump to $20.7000, followed by seed manufacturer Seed Co Limited that surged 13.65% to $841.0000. ZBFH ticked up 7.59% to settle at $850.0000 while, Meikles Limited advanced 3.48% to $999.7854. RTG completed the top five best performers of the day on a 1.23% uplift to $135.0000. In contrast, Zimre Holdings Limited led the laggards of the day on a 6.25% slump to $100.0000 while, retailer OKZIM eased 2.82% to end the day pegged at $145.9316. Nampak retreated 2.63% to $336.5714 while, telecoms giant Econet dropped 0.53% to $498.8537. Clothing retailer Edgars capped the top five fallers of the day on a 0.47% slid to close at $95.3568. The market closed with a positive breadth of seven as ten counters recorded gains against three that faltered.
The ZSE market remained positive in midweek session registering gains for the fourteenth consecutive day. The All-Share Index added 0.70% to close at 148,170.05pts while, the ZSE Top Ten Index edged up 0.86% to 65,084.16pts.
The ZSE market maintained a positive momentum in Tuesday’s session as gains were witnessed in selected counters across the board.
Telecoms giant Econet highlighted the session in week-opener as circa 3.20m shares worth $1.59bn exchanged hands.
The ZSE market eked out a 0.39% gain in Friday’s session to close the week at 145,265.26pts as the ZSE Agriculture Index added 1.49% to settle at 516.13pts.
ZSE firms up in midweek session… The market recorded gains in the midweek session as the primary All -Share Index rose 2.44% to 142,798.43pts while, the Blue-Chip Index edged up 2.60% to 63,305.89pts. The Mid Cap Index surged 2.17% to 576,900.19pts while, the Agriculture Index lost 1.04% to 508.17pts. Zimpapers headlined the winners of the day on a 16.39% jump to $16.6500, followed by retailer Truworths that stepped up 16.22% to close at $35.0000.
ZSE stretches gains… The market stretched gains in Tuesday’s session to see the All Share Index closing 0.25% higher at 139,402.43pts while, the Top Ten Index recorded a 0.29% rise and settled at 61,704.06pts. The Mid Cap Index edged up 0.09% to end at 564,649.86pts as the ZSE Agriculture Index shed 0.02% to 513.92pts.
Heavies lift the market despite liquidity challenges… Top capitalized counters lifted the market in week opening session, despite constrained liquidity across the board. Three of the four indices we review capped the day pointing northwards as the All-Share Index added 0.31% to 139,056.84pts. The Blue-Chip Index advanced 0.66% to 61,525.12pts while, the Agriculture Index went up 0.70% to 514.03pts. On the contrary, the Mid Cap Index faltered 0.37% to 564,120.12pts. Heavies dominated the top five gainers’ list of the day as they clinched all the spots with SeedCo leading the pack on a 7.22% surge to $644.0000.
ZSE eked out gains… The market recorded marginal gains in the week ending session as the primary All Share Index inched up 0.10% to 138,620.74pts while, the Blue-Chip Index rose 0.08% to 61,119.06pts. Contrastingly, the Mid Cap Index lost 0.63% to 566,226.72pts while, the Agriculture Index eased 0.001% to 510.48pts. Clothing retailer Truworths headlined the top performers of the day on a 11.40% jump to $26.7359 followed by milk processor Dairibord that firmed up 9.90% to settle at $460.0000.
