ZB shines in Tuesday''s session ... A block trade in ZB Financial Holdings highlighted todays session as 8,7m shares worth $670.44m exchanged hands. The trade accounted for 59.41% of the volumes traded and 60.01% of the value aggregate. Other notable volume drivers were Econet and Delta which claimed a combined 29.71% of the aggregate. In the same manner Econet and Delta were part of the value drivers as the duo claimed 32.8% of the turnover. Activity aggregates for the day improved as volume of shares traded surged by 157.43% as 14.66m shares traded while, turnover ballooned by 649.58% to $1.1bn. A total of thirty-four counters registered price movements distributed into ten gainers and twenty-four fallers, to leave the market with a negative breadth of fourteen. Rarely traded counter Zeco headlined the gainers of the day as it surged by 100% to $0.0048 on scrappy 4 562 shares, trailed by Hotelier Rainbow Tourism group that advanced 15.74% to $6.9441. First Mutual Holdings reversed yesterday’s losses as it rose 15.64% to $21.9717 while, Meikles added 7.66% to trade at 115.0090. Packaging group Nampak capped the top five gainers on a 3.78% recovery to $9.8571. Microfinancier Getbucks led the laggards of the day on a 14.29% loss to $6.0000, followed by banking group First Capital that eased 11.41% to $3.1142. Clothing retailer Edgars was down 7.83% to settle at $4.6087 while, Simbisa relinquished prior session’s gains as it shed 6.89% to trade at $80.1948. Logistics group Unifreight capped the top five losers set as it tumbled 6.56% to close at %27.6000. The Old Mutual ETF declined 2.84% to close at $5.1632 as 6,253 units worth $32,285.6 exchanged hands elsewhere, on the VFEX no trades were recorded. The All-share index shed 1.33% to 9745.48pts while, the segregated Industrials declined 1.35% to 32171.39pts. The Blue-chip index was 1.95% weaker at 6000.67pts as profit taking persisted .
