MARKET COMMENT 17.06. 2026

CBZ highlights the session…

Banking group CBZ highlighted the session as circa 1.38m shares worth $30.48m exchanged hands in the name. The trade accounted for 76.26% of the total volumes traded and 87.71% of the value outturn. Delta was the other notable value driver with a 11.34% contribution. Volume of shares traded ballooned 761.07% to 1.64m while, turnover jumped 543.47% to $18.29m. The Datvest ETF was unchanged at $0.0600 on 10,300 units while, the Cass saddle ETF was stable at $0.0754 on 200 units. The Revitus REIT declined 14.12% to $1.9000 as the Tigere REIT slipped 0.66% to $1.0929. Cumulatively, 32,231 units exchanged hands in the two REITs.

 

First Mutual Holdings led the winners of the day on a 14.50% jump to $2.1755, followed by Zimre Holdings that charged 13.64% to $0.7500. Mashonaland Holdings surged 4.57% to $1.6641 as Meikles put on 0.75% to $2.7230. Hippo Valley capped the gainers of the day on a 0.08% uplift to $8.8074. Agriculture concern Ariston retreated 0.90% to $0.0684 with Star Africa trimming 0.73% to $0.0399. Tea Company Tanganda dropped 0.41% to $4.8800 while, TSL slid 0.33% to end pegged to $7.4500. 

 

The All-Share Index rose 0.34% to close at 410.16pts while, the Blue Chip Index edged up 0.39% to 410.05pts. The Mid Cap Index ticked up 0.17% to 438.27pts while, the Agriculture Index went down 0.13% to 337.19pts.
