MARKET COMMENT 16.06. 2026

ZSE rebounds…

The ZSE market rebounded in the session as the primary All Share Index put on 1.16% to 408.75pts while, the Blue-Chips Index added 1.39% to 408.47pts. The Mid Cap Index gained 0.18% to 437.51pts as the Agriculture Index dropped 0.60% to 337.63pts. CBZ Holdings and FMP headlined the best performers of the day on a 15.00% jump to close at $22.1440 and $1.0350 respectively. Brick maker Willdale surged 12.75% to $0.0451 while, ZSE Holdings edged up 8.00% to $1.3500. Ariston completed the top five winners of the day on a 5.85% uplift to $0.0690. Trading in the negative territory was construction group Masimba that shed 14.02% to $2.6081, followed by First Mutual Holdings that dropped 11.42% to $1.9000. ART came off 8.86% to settle at $0.2005 while, Mashonaland Holdings tumbled 4.70% to $1.5915. TN Cybertech capped the top five laggards of the day on a 2.37% dip to end pegged at $0.1306.

 

Activity aggregates enhanced in the session as volumes ballooned 761.07% to 1.64m shares while, turnover grew by 543.47% to $18.29m. Top volume drivers of the day were Delta (31.15%), Masimba (24.99%) and TN Cybertech (23.53%). Delta was the top traded stock in terms of value after contributing 83.88%. The Datvest ETF exchanged 10,000 units at a flat price of $0.0600 while, Cass Saddle traded 2,000 units at $0.0754. The Tigere REIT slipped 3.70% to close at $1.1001 after 1.36m units exchanged hands in the session.
