ZSE falters in mid-month session…
The market faltered in the mid-month session as the All-Share Index trimmed 0.06% to 404.07pts while, the Mid Cap Index let go 0.32% to 436.73pts. The Blue-Chip Index added 0.01% to 402.86pts while, the ZSE Agriculture Index grew 0.22% to end at 339.67pts. Bankers TN Cybertech was the major casualty of the day after a 10.84% decline that took it to $0.1337. Following was financial giant CBZ that shed 0.50% to settle at $19.2560 while, NMB went down 0.08% to close at $5.4800. ZSE Holdings headlined the gainers of the day on a 4.17% surge that took it to $1.2500. Ariston Holdings edged up 1.85% to $0.0652 while, Hippo rose 1.74% to close at $8.7500. FBC Holdings ticked up 0.39% to $11.0000 as Meikles put on 0.04% to $2.7012.
Activity aggregates were subdued in week-opener as volumes dropped 68.02% to 190,600 shares while, turnover dipped 80.23% to $2.84m. Delta, Ariston, TNCI and NMBZ claimed a combined 86.05% of the volume aggregate. The value drivers of the day were Delta and BAT with respective contributions of 60.80% and 23.79%. The Cass Saddle ETF gained 0.54% to $0.0754 on 2100 units while, the Datvest MCS was stable at $0.0600 on 17,200 units. The Tigere REIT improved 0.10% to $1.1424 on 4,085 units while, the Revitus was unchanged at $2.2125 on scrappy 26 units.
