ZSE slips into the red…
The market slipped into the red in week-ending session as
selected heavies weighed down the ZSE. The mainstream All
Share Index declined 0.86% to 361.36pts while, the ZSE Top
Ten Index shed 0.93% to 369.29pts. The ZSE Agriculture Index
retreated 0.41% to end at 264.62pts while, the Mid Cap Index
went down 0.43% to 354.00pts. Packaging group Nampak was
the major casualty of the day on a 5.11% dip to land at
$0.7401. Following was brick maker Willdale that eased 3.33%
to $0.0290 with Hippo Valley Estates letting go 3.00% to end
pegged at $11.1545. Beverages giant Econet retreated 1.76%
to $28.2433 while, TN Cybertech lost 1.69% to $0.1008. Life
assurer Fidelity surged 13.46% to settle at $0.4538 while, TSL
charged 2.09% to $3.2500. Construction group Masimba
ticked up 0.19% to $2.1466 as bankers CBZ put on 0.12% to
$4.6146.
Activity aggregates were depressed in the session as volumes
traded tumbled 61.38% to 2.19m shares while, value outturn
plunged 67.93% to $21.13m. Econet was the top volume and
value driver of the day after claiming a massive 89.93% of the
former and 94.97% of the latter. The Cass Saddle ETF shed
1.53% to $0.0867 on 2,000 units while, the Datvest MCS rose
0.10% to $0.0660 on 5,000 units. The MIZ ETF was unchanged
at $0.0680 on 500 units. The Tigere REIT dropped 10.96% to
$1.0240 on 637,688 units.
