MARKET COMENT-2025-08-18

ZSE rebounds in week opening session… 
ZSE rebounded in week-opener as the All-Share Index rose 0.76% to 202.37pts while, the Blue-Chip Index added 0.88% to 197.94pts. The Agriculture Index edged up 0.99% to 175.45pts while, the Mid Cap Index grew 0.34% to 239.00pts. Dairy producer Dairibord Holdings led the risers of the day having gained 15.00% to end pegged at $1.4950 as banking group FBC followed on a 10.68% surge to close at $7.1941. TN Cybertech charged 4.54% to $0.1250 while, Meikles Limited went up 0.89% to $3.5314. Tanganda Tea company completed the top five gainers’ list on a 0.21% rise to settle at $1.1808. Trading in the negative was Zimre Holdings that dropped 12.41% to finish at $0.2277. Brick manufacturer Willdale lost 7.67% to $0.0323 while, Proplastics parred off 7.54% to land at $1.2020. Telecommunication company Econet shed 0.58% to $4.5491 with ZSE Holdings concluding the top five losers of the day on a 0.47% loss to close at $2.0801. 
  
Activity aggregates traded sideways as turnover jumped 41.88% to $38.31m while, volumes traded declined by 2.76% to 3.74m shares. Delta and CBZ Holdings were the top volume and value drivers of the day as they claimed a combined 79.05% of the former and 95.71% of the latter. In the ETF category, Datvest MCS and Morgan & Co registered no price movements in the session as a total of 17,435 units were traded in the two ETFs. The Tigere REIT added 2.34% to $1.2797 as 3,714 units exchanged hands.
