ZSE eked out gains in Friday’s session... The market remained afloat in week ending session as mid and heavy cap counters emerged the top gainers of the day. The primary All Share Index put on 0.70% to 10890.02pts while, the Industrials added an almost identical 0.71% to close at 36003.39pts surpassing the 36000pts mark. The ZSE Top Ten Index extended 0.76% to 6878.02pts as the Mining was the only decliner on a 0.21% drop to 7477.53pts. TSL was the top gainer of the day after surging 15.38% to end at $75.0000 while, Econet jumped 6.51% to settle at a vwap of $82.9561, having traded a day high of $85.0000. Zimplow improved 3.13% to $24.0000. Unifreight buttressed prior session’s gains as the logistics group gained a further 2.94% to $35.3846. Zimre Holdings capped the riser’s list on a 2.691% uplift to $3.9457. Leading the laggards of the day was agricultural concern Ariston that dipped 7.48% to $3.6085, followed by Natfoods that trimmed 6.11% to $1,595.0000. Mashonaland Holdings let go 4.97% to $4.3000, reversing previous sessions’ gains. Apparel retailer Edgars ended the day at $5.0121 having slipped 4.17% with SeedCo Limited shedding 4.09% to close lower at $104.9667. Gainers outnumbered fallers by a count of three leaving the market with a negative breadth. Activity aggregates were mixed in the session as reflected in volumes that dropped 91.52% to 3.14m shares while, turnover grew 26.73% to $204.02m. Volumes traded were anchored by Econet, Bindura and Delta which claimed a combined 71.01% of the aggregate. Heavies Econet and Delta claimed 41.40% and 27.64% of the value outturn apiece. Local purchases claimed 99.99% of turnover as sales accounted for 99.90% of the same. The Old Mutual ETF slid 0.23% to $5.0000 as 6,760 units exchanged hands.
